Celebrating Women for the Real World

Ditchbugs………

What do you get when you get a group of women together for a craw-fish boil and none of them are actually from Louisiana?

You have a lot of fun! Well Charmaine’s family is from Louisiana, but she was an army brat and has lived all over.

Interesting process cooking craw-fish. It is an event, not just a meal. First, you have to have plenty of fluids, because it is hot and you might get dehydrated,

You have to soak them in in salt water so that they will poo and purge.

Mean while they try and escape.

You rinse them off.

Then pick out the dead ones.

I think this one is dead

Carol’s and Charmaine’s face say it all.

Sheri didn’t spill a drop when she was shaking up the live ones.

Oh and they fight back…

See what I mean….

After all of the work, you get to cook.  There may be controversy as to the amount of seasoning to dump in.  Here’s a hint, don’t dump in half the bag of seasoning.   Can you say spicy?

It was a good time getting together with friends.  Maybe next time we’ll let the men join us.  You know, so that we can “supervise” while they do the work!

Ummmmmm. I don’t think I’m going to be eating anything that can eat me back.

LOVE the drinks. Just so you don’t get dehydraded.
