Return of the Gas Wars!

We finally have ourselves a good old fashion gas war.  Many may have seen on the news when two stations here in Houston had some fun one day with a gas war.  On that particular day, the gas dropped to $2.04 and I think everyone in the area lost their ever living mind.  As a matter of fact, Sheri got stuck in the traffic that was created by this gas war on her way home from work.

It seems I have to pass these stations on my way to see a patient and it is always entertaining to see what the price is when I drive by because they are still having (a much smaller scale) a gas war.  On monday, when I drove by I saw this…

Return of the Gas Wars!

I guess the sun was hitting the sign just write and you can’t see the price. But they were selling gas for $3.18 gal. Then I looked over across the street to see what the Shell station was up to and saw this…

Return of the Gas Wars!

During the initial gas war, this Shell station couldn’t keep up changing their prices, with the digital sign at the Chevron so they ended up just not posting the price per gallon. I guess they solved that problem now didn’t they?

At least now the gas wars aren’t causing 2 hour traffic jams requiring police to come out and direct traffic. 😛

    Gotta love Houston. 🙂

    (For Kat)

Actually, the first day this war went on, the police did have to come out to keep the streets passable. The lines were so long they were stopping traffic.
