Celebrating Women for the Real World

Hometown Boy Done Good!

Raj Bhavsar Picture

I wanted to post a congratulations to gymnast Raj Bhavsar as he will be competing in men’s gymnastics in the 2008 Olympics.  Raj is the son of a friend and coworker in the school district here in Houston.  He went to the 2004 Olympics as an alternate, and competed at the World Championship and the NCCA competition.  Raj had made the team again for the 2008 Olympics as an alternate but when Paul Hamm had to drop out due to an injured hand, the selection committee picked Raj to replace Hamm and represent the USA.

Sue, I know you are so proud of your son, he has worked for this practically his whole young life.  We will all be watching and cheering him on!
