Celebrating Women for the Real World

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!Nough Said!

I really hope you pretties (and the few gentlemen that visit) aren’t hoping for some insightful post on how to find world peace or some such dribble.  Not happening!  It’s Friday.  The first full week of work/school since, well, last year.  Did it feel like there were at least eight days in this week?  Yes, me too!

The CES is over.  Husband will be coming home tonight.  He may be leaving me tonight after he sees the house.  Oh my, I think I’M getting hives from the lack of organization.  Because I think I’d feel better if you all gave me pity, I’ll remind you all that I had TWO sick boys, a dog, a teenage daughter, and NO HUSBAND this week.  Pity yet?  No.  I tried.

I got a text from hubby last night.  It seems that him and his partner just HAD to stop in the casino last night as the convention was over and they had nothing but time on their hands.  His partner won $10,000 at a slot machine.  I texted him back to make sure it was 10 thousand.  It was.  Kevin, if you’re reading, 1/2 of that is mine since I gave you my husband for a week.  What’s that?  I have to fight Barb?  Well then, I guess she can have it.  As for hubs?  I think he went back to the room broke!  He had that sound to his voice like “I don’t want to talk about it.”

Must get to work.  I hope you all have a great day an an even better weekend!

Trackbacks & Pingbacks

  1. You need no pity! By “mom” standards, you accomplished a lot this week! You cared for and nurtured two children who needed you, you didn’t starve the dog and it sounds like you still have room in your house for the people. You may not be able to find the people, but it sounds like they are still living inside the house. So. You did great!

Hey, if you have time before YOU get sick, check out Leslie’s poll over at Lux Venit (she’s on my blogroll). The poll is entitled “Are you a strong willed woman?” I’m still working on my answers – it’s a lot of food for thought.

I’m on the “hire someone” train there… ugh! I hate weeks like that where every thing seems to happen at once… hang in there, woman!

This week did seem much longer than normal! Glad hubs is coming home and the boys are on the mend.

I’m in awe at that huge win. I didn’t know anyone ever really won that big on slots! 🙂

Ummm … is it bad that I am totally jealous he went to CES?

I think Mr. Man and I need to plan a trip to Vegas next year, under the guise of a romantic trip, and go geek out there.

I think the new boobs will need to see Vegas, yes?
