Oh my goodness! Did you take that picture? I’m a little surprised the squirrel wasn’t afraid, considering he was in a sort of den of lions. LOL. I found your blog via Sleeping Mommy. You’ve been bookmarked and I plan to visit frequently!

This picture has a story behind it. The squirrel was found as a baby under a tree. Someone brought it to a lady that has nurtured many an animal back to health or raised and release when the animal has lost its mom. This woman has cancer and uses this as therapy. The dog is hers. She got the squirrel a few days before her dog had puppies. The dog kept dragging the cage the squirrel was in over to her bed. They let the squirrel out and the dog took over. Then the puppies were born. The momma dog treated the squirrel as one of her pups including letting the squirrel nurse. It will be interesting to see what will happen as they all grow. I’ll post the rest of the pictures later. Enjoy!

Welcome, Colleen, glad to have you!
